Large Bowl from cedar wood, woodbowl in cedar

I handturned this bowl from a log of locally sourced cedar wood. The tree stood close to the town of Darmstadt and had been removed due to construction work for a building. It was turned wet, but nearly held its shape throughout the drying process. The wood has beautiful grain patterns and shows many knots and branch faces across the whole surface. I oiled the piece with foodsafe oil so it could be used as an eating bowl or fruit bowl according to your needs. If you use it for a saladbowl you will be able to serve many persons ;-)

This bowl is unique and you won't find a second one like that one !
